CSP Chairperson Kevin Kelly read Minister Dara Calleary T.D.'s message to the CSP, including:-
"You have been instrumental in significant sector-based health and safety initiatives that have been embraced by workers and management alike and which have proved effective in reducing the accident, injury and fatality statistics for the construction industry. In these very difficult times, it is even more important that we do whatever we can to make sure that health & safety does not lose priority in a mistaken attempt to achieve savings. Your forum has an important role to play in spreading that message."
