INTRODUCTION

A help desk dedicated to Safety Representatives was launched in July 2006 to provide information and a coaching-mentoring service. 

Our database suggests that there are 1,700 qualified Workers Safety Representatives in the construction industry. A letter was sent to all Safety Rep-resentatives on our data base informing them of the services available and providing them with the designated contact number and the hours of avail-ability of the service. The help desk operates from 8am to 8pm Monday to Saturday. Business cards containing advertising the service have been produced and distributed to all trained SRs.
